LINDAHL WINS A-CLASS GREAT LAKES CHAMPIONSHIPS
Conditions were ideal for this event. Two days of sunny skies, temperatures in the mid to high 80s, and winds out of the south 8-14mph and steady. The regatta, hosted again this year by Captain Jack's Restaurant and CRAM had a total of sixteen boats, with sailors from as far as Germany and Poland. Races were run on the crystal clear waters of Lake Michigan off of Pere Marquette. After seven races Ian Lindahl of Fennville, MI on an LR3 was crowned the 2010 A-Class Champion. Second place was taken by Dave Carlson of St. Petersburg, FL just six points back. Ian will keep the trophy, first won by Matt Struble in 2001, for one year when it will be up for grabs again next year. Bids are currently being accepted for the 2011 GLACC.
